Born from a love of the Kumaon Himalayas
Himadvaya began as a single thought on a cold morning: what if a place existed that was equal parts sanctuary and home? A place that rewarded doing nothing — watching the light change over the Nanda Devi range, listening to pine needles fall, tasting vegetables that were in the garden an hour ago.
Over years and with dozens of local hands, that thought became a resort. Five rooms, an infinity pool that falls into the ridgeline, an organic kitchen garden, a yoga deck that feels airborne at sunrise. Every beam, every rug, every recipe on the menu is a collaboration with someone from the valley below.
We are not a hotel. We are a small, carefully tended escape that happens to have beds. Come for a week. Come for a weekend. Come for the rest of your life.
Three things we care about
Sustainability
Locally sourced materials, an organic kitchen garden, rainwater harvesting, and solar-assisted power. We leave the mountain better than we found it.
Wellness
Slow mornings. Guided yoga. Ayurvedic therapies. Every space is designed for nervous-system rest — not just sleep.
Community
Every room, meal, and experience is co-created with Kumaoni artisans, farmers, and guides. Your stay directly supports the villages that make this valley beautiful.
